Report: Steelers have agreed to trade with the Bears.

Pittsburgh — According to USA Today Sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of three clubs interested in trading for quarterback Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears. As they leave the NFL Combine, the Steelers join the Atlanta Falcons and the Las Vegas Raiders as the three teams that have spoken with Chicago. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Bears planned to hold trade discussions this week, and Pittsburgh appears to have joined in. “A person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports that the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders have expressed some level of interest in Fields,” according to a report by USA Today Sports.

When questioned about a trade for Fields during his media availability at the NFL Combine, general manager Omar Khan did not dismiss the possibility. “I’m not going to go into details about the conversations we’ve had,” Khan told reporters. “But as I mentioned earlier, I can tell you that I have an obligation to look at every avenue to make us a better football team.” As of now, it’s expected that whoever acquires Fields will give up a second or third-round NFL Draft pick, but will also have to decide whether or not to exercise his fifth-year option.
