As of this writing, Cameron Sutton, a former cornerback for the Detroit Lions, was wanted for domestic battery by strangulation. He has not yet appeared in court. However, during a press conference during the owners meetings in Orlando, Rod Wood, the president of the Detroit Lions, provided a crucial timeline update.
Wood disclosed that the Lions, who were unaware of Sutton’s circumstances until they were made public on social media, did, in fact, contact Sutton following the March 20 release of information about his warrant.
