Profoundly positioned QB seeing bounty of Vols, has Tennessee among ‘top teams’

Highly ranked QB seeing plenty of Vols, has Tennessee among ‘top teams’

Faizon Brandon earned a scholarship offer from Tennessee in June with a strong showing at one of the Vols’ camps, and he attended three of their home games during the fall. His regular visits to Tennessee have helped the Vols catch his attention in the early stages of his recruitment, and they impressed him again this weekend.

The four-star Class of 2026 quarterback from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C., was back at Tennessee on Saturday for its first junior day of the year. It was his fifth visit with the Vols in less than eight months, and while the list of programs in the running for him has continued to grow, he said Tennessee is “definitely one of the top teams on my list right now” following his latest trip to Knoxville.

“It was great. I always have a great time when I come here,” said Brandon, who’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 74 overall prospect and No. 6 quarterback in the 2026 class.

Carolina’s Camaraderie Impressed Caleb Wilson on ‘Surreal’ Official Visit

Five-star forward recaps his Chapel Hill weekend.

The long-awaited trip to North Carolina for Caleb Wilson ended Sunday afternoon. The five-star forward from Atlanta (Ga.) Holy Innocents had originally planned to take an unofficial visit to UNC in November just before the start of his high school season.

His family opted to push that visit back a couple months to experience UNC on the biggest regular-season stage in college basketball – the first of its two contests with arch-rival Duke. After taking in the Tar Heels’ 93-84 win, and reveling in it into early Sunday morning, Wilson and his father, Jerry Wilson, spoke to Inside Carolina. They discussed how Caleb might fit at UNC, the player he was watching the most on Saturday, the feeling in Carolina’s locker room after the game, and what’s next in his recruitment.
